On January 27 at 1pm Eastern time, I'll be reading an excerpt from MERU at TBRCon 2023 and doing a Q & A with the audience. If you have any burning questions for me, please do attend!
TBRCon is an "all-virtual sci-fi, fantasy, and horror convention, with 30 live panels, 25 author readings, podcasts and RPG sessions. Plus, it’s all FREE!" It will run from January 22-29 on the FanFiAddict YouTube channel: http://youtube.com/@FanFiAddict
In person book signing - on February 2 at 7pm, I'll be in San Diego at Mysterious Galaxy bookstore, my favorite local science fiction & fantasy shop! I'm really excited to be in conversation with Annalee Newitz (who also has an amazing new science fiction novel coming out) and Greg van Eekhout, one of my favorite local authors. Please join us if you're in the area!
If you're too far away, you can still order a signed copy from the bookstore (and support their business) here:

I won't be traveling to Boston, but I will be on two virtual panels as part of Boskone, the local science fiction & fantasy convention in Boston, MA. This first is "The Shadow of the City," about using cities as settings for speculative fiction. The second is "A New Prime Directive," which ties into one of Meru's themes - should humanity expand into the universe and settle on other planets?
Virtual membership is $25, and full adult membership is $60. You can find out more about Boskone and register here: https://boskone.org/registration/buy-a-membership/
Starred review from PW for MERU
I am truly honored to receive a starred review from Publishers Weekly for my upcoming novel, Meru. This novel is my first foray into the far future and space opera, and it’s always nice to get some early validation when attempting something new.
