S.B. Divya (she/any) is a lover of science, math, fiction, and the Oxford comma. She is the award winning author of The Alloy Era duology and Machinehood. Her short stories have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies, and she is a former editor of Escape Pod, the weekly science fiction podcast. She has been a finalist for the Nebula, Hugo, Ignyte, and Locus Awards. Divya holds a degree in Computational Neuroscience from Caltech, and Signal Processing from UC San Diego. Her short stories have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies, and she is a former editor of Escape Pod, the weekly science fiction podcast. She has been a finalist for the Nebula, Hugo, Ignyte, and Locus Awards. Divya holds degrees in Computational Neuroscience and Signal Processing. She worked for twenty years as an electrical engineer before becoming an author. She is a founding board member of Ansyme, a nonprofit organization that works to amplify lower nervous system research with applications to systemic medicine.
