S.B. Divya (she/any) is a lover of science, math, fiction, and the Oxford comma. Her books include The Alloy Era duology and Machinehood, and her short stories have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies. She is the 2025 Sushila Devi Award winner and has been a finalist for the Nebula, Hugo, Ignyte, and Locus Awards. S.B. Divya (she/any) is a lover of science, math, fiction, and the Oxford comma. Her books include The Alloy Era duology and the novel Machinehood, and her short stories have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies. She is the 2025 Sushila Devi Award winner and has been a finalist for the Nebula, Hugo, Ignyte, and Locus Awards. She was the co-editor of Escape Pod, the weekly science fiction podcast, from 2017-2022. Divya holds degrees in Computational Neuroscience from Caltech, and Signal Processing from UC San Diego. She worked for twenty years as an electrical engineer before becoming an author. She is a founding board member of Ansyme, a nonprofit that promotes autonomic nervous system research with applications to unsolved medical conditions.
